Come and Try Archery - April 19, 2026
Sherbrooke Archers
10:00 – 11:30
Whether you are a total archery novice or whether you have some limited archery knowledge, Sherbrooke Archers Come and Try sessions are the ideal place to start your archery adventure. Archery is suitable for all ability levels and is an ideal sport for those who have some disabilities. Age is no barrier with anyone from ages 7 and up welcome to have a go. In fact, archery is truly a family sport with many parents bringing their children along for a come and try session and end up becoming archers themselves. It is also not unusual at Sherbrooke to see 3 generations of family members all shooting together. Although the instructors are happy to answer any questions, the emphasis for these come and try sessions is on fun and safety foremost. The idea is to try archery casually before deciding on whether it is something that you wish to continue with. If you decide after a couple of these sessions that you may want to continue then a Sherbrooke Archers Archery Instruction Program may be the next step for you. These sessions are on a casual basis – there is no long commitment necessary.  You may attend 1, 2 or as many as you like. Our instructors are all qualified and accredited by Archery Australia and all have up to date working with children cards. All equipment is supplied. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to allow time for us to set you up with equipment. Please remember that archery is an outdoor sport and that you should be prepared for the conditions. On days of extreme weather the club may be closed and any instruction sessions either cancelled or postponed accordingly. (Advanced notification will be given using contact details provided) Please wear closed toe shoes or boots as no open toe footwear (thongs or sandals etc.) is allowed. It is recommended to wear close fitting shirts or tops to avoid clothing getting caught in the string. If you have long hair, please ensure it is tied back to ensure your safety. Anyone under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian present. The purchase of this ticket ensures you have read and understood the above information and are agreeing to follow all instructions provided. Cancelations of less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded.
